05 May 2016

Singapore, 05 May 2016 - Ricoh Asia Pacific today announced Data Products Toppan Forms Co., Ltd. (DPTF), a leading service provider of commercial print, transactional print, direct-mail and fulfillment solutions, has successfully installed the Ricoh Pro VC60000. Headquartered in Bangkok, DPTF is not only the first in Thailand but in Asia, to install this next generation continuous-feed inkjet platform by Ricoh.

With near to 20 years of experience as a business outsourcer for customer communications, DPTF highly trained operation team is committed to serve the market needs from telecommunications, financial services, healthcare, retails, etc. “We chose the Ricoh Pro VC60000 due to its latest technology in the market today, and by comparing its quality, advanced technology, usage capability as well as the advantage of cost investment, and cost per page,” said Mr. Preecha Jamornsrianan, Director and General Manager of DPTF. “I am confident that Ricoh Pro VC60000 can provide high quality printing output and put us ahead of the competition,” Mr. Preecha added.

DPTF has been researching for a reliable solution that could address its increasing rate of volume, enable new communication applications and open-up new revenue streams while continue to meet customer demands for high print quality and fast turn-around time. Mr. Preecha emphasized that, in Thailand, the digital printing market is growing year-by-year particularly in the mid-end market. “We also see this opportunity and consider the investment in digital printing technology. We believe that Ricoh would be our strategic-partner to grow in this market together,” Mr. Preecha said.

This strategic investment by DPTF is expected to be the cornerstone of its production future, aiming to bring its digital printing business to reach a new level. “This first installation is a proud moment for us and I hope to continue a long and fruitful partnership between Ricoh and DPTF,” said Mr. Julian Fryett, President of Ricoh Thailand.

Commenting on Ricoh Thailand’s success, Mr. Tetsuya Takano, Managing Director of Ricoh Asia Pacific said, “We are honoured to work alongside DPTF and believe that this alliance will help DPTF to strengthen competitiveness and to boost their business.” Ricoh Pro VC60000 is a milestone in the evolution of high-speed inkjet technology, and it sets a new benchmark of print quality in its class.

Ricoh Pro VC60000 provides significant improvement in print quality with its unique multi-drop ink technology, which produces dynamic variable drop size within each pixel, achieving physical resolution of up to 1200 x 1200dpi. It enables a more rapid shift from offset to digital for commercial printers focused on short-run book printing, who require high-speed, vibrant print quality and media flexibility. In addition, it reduces the make ready time as compared to offset, thereby speeding up turn-around, maximizing operational efficiency and allowing for greater cost control.

“As our track record for the past nine years in production print has proven, we will not stop expanding and pushing the capabilities of our platforms,” said Mr. Kenji Tasaki, General Manager, Production Printing Business Group, Ricoh Asia Pacific. “We know our customers and their clients are always looking for new ways to innovate and impress in order to meet and exceed market requirements. We are here to make sure that can happen every day, and today’s announcement helps in delivering that promise,” Mr. Tasaki said.

Ricoh Pro VC60000 not only delivers eye catching critical communication output to the hands of customers and audiences, but also streamlines operation with fewer steps and more cost savings in producing high print quality graphical communication applications, including books and magazines.
